The faculty of the Ventura County Community College District are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to provide the students of the district with an education that is second to none. In a climate where education is generally undervalued, and educators are rarely given the credit to which they are entitled, the AFT Local 1828 has begun a video project to create a series of short videos that profile members of the faculty of this district and give them a chance to tell their own stories in their own words. It is our hope that by giving their voices an opportunity to be heard we can help to raise awareness about the hard work these true heros, do and the shockingly low pay that they receive in this district compared to their colleagues in surrounding districts.
