AFT Local 1828 Holiday Open House
AFT Local 1828 union members are cordially invited to join us for a festive holiday open house and gift-card drive on Thursday December 8, 2022. The open house will run from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at our union office, located at 816 Camarillo Springs Road. The AFT will be providing an assortment of refreshments, light snacks and finger foods and it will be a great chance to gather with friends and colleagues, and come together in support of a wonderful local nonprofit organization.
Casa Pacifica is a local non-profit organization with a near-35-year history of serving the community. Their mission is to provide support and assistance to local teens and families who have been the victims of abuse and neglect. Every year they mount a gift-card drive, the proceeds of which go to the people they serve. This year we are honored to have this chance to work with them in that mission.
Our members are invited to participate in this fund-raising drive by bringing a gift card to the open house. All denominations of card are welcome, but Casa Pacfica has asked that you purchase your gift card from one of their local partner businesses listed below. If you would like more information about Casa Pacifica, their mission, or other ways that you might be able to get involved, please visit them at their website.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us, but if your schedule won't allow, you are still welcome to participate in the gift card drive by emailing us at giftcards@aft1828.org and we can make alternative arrangements to pick up your donation.
The executive council and staff of your union are looking foward to this seeing you at this event, and hope that everyone can join us for some well-deserved down time. All union members are welcome; however, we do ask that you R.S.V.P. to this event so that we can make sure to have plenty of refreshments.
